Maersk is enhancing its AE15 Gemini service by introducing a new port call at Jeddah from August, further strengthening connectivity between Asia, Europe, and Saudi Arabia. The addition follows the carrier's recent decision to return the AE15 service to the trans-Suez route, replacing the longer voyage around the Cape of Good Hope.

The revised service is expected to offer customers improved transit times while expanding access to one of the Middle East's most strategic logistics hubs. The new Jeddah call will support growing trade with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by providing more efficient cargo movement and enhanced network flexibility across key global markets.

The service enhancement reflects the gradual restoration of Red Sea shipping routes as regional conditions improve. However, Maersk has stated that future network adjustments will continue to depend on the stability of the Red Sea and the broader Middle East security environment.
