MOL Secures LPG New Build Contracts with TotalEnergies

Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) have partnered with Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries to develop a pair of 88000 cu m LPG carriers.
The 230-meter-long LPG-fueled ships will be chartered to France’s TotalEnergies in 2026. The price for the newbuilds has not been disclosed. These ships will have the capability to transport both ammonia and LPG.
MOL has a longstanding partnership with TotalEnergies in multiple fields, including the transition of marine fuel oil and long-term charter contracts for LNG carriers and LNG bunkering vessels.
