Launch of New Korean Engine Brand Announced

Hanwha Ocean, the Korean shipyard formerly known as Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, has recently introduced a new subsidiary called Hanwha Engine. This development follows the successful acquisition of fellow Korean company HSD Engine.

Among the various products that the newly established entity will focus on developing are ammonia-powered engines. By incorporating Hanwha Engine into its list of affiliates, Hanwha now possesses comprehensive shipbuilding solutions, including in-house engine production capabilities backed by advanced manufacturing and technology expertise.
