CMA CGM announces rate restoration initiative for North Europe to US routes

Container line CMA CGM has announced the implementation of its Rate Restoration Initiative 5 (RRI05) starting August 15. This initiative will affect all ports of origin in North Europe, including North France, the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltic, Portugal, and North Spain (Bilbao, Vigo, Gijon), with destinations across the US East Coast, US Gulf, US West Coast, and inland areas via these ports.

Under this initiative, rates will be set at $75 per TEU (dry and reefer) and $150 per 40’/40’HC/45’ (dry and reefer), with special equipment excluded.
