French ocean carrier CMA CGM has introduced Peak Season Surcharges (PSS) for shipments from China to the West Africa North Range, effective from December 25, 2024, until further notice.

The surcharge applies to cargo originating from North China. It is destined for key West African countries, including Liberia, Senegal, Mauritania, Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Guinea Bissau, Cape Verde, and Sao Tome and Principe. A separate PSS applies to cargo originating from Central and South China bound for the same West African destinations.

These adjustments reflect increased demand during the peak season and aim to address capacity constraints on these trade lanes. CMA CGM advises clients to plan shipments accordingly and factor in the revised surcharges.
